I’m Jon Gill… and I am Playful Communications!
I specialise in telling stories that might otherwise go untold.
I do this sometimes as a filmmaker, but also as a designer and illustrator.
For example, read more about my feature length documentary, Open Close Movie.
Bio
In 2010 I took a sideways step from more than 20 years of Graphic Design and Illustration and completed a Masters degree in Design for Services. Documenting projects as short films was part of my process.
Long story short, the filmmaking won.
I will always be a service designer, graphic designer and illustrator – however, filmmaking is my passion.
I can help people to tell their story – promoting a product, process or passion.
Mobile filmmaking is perfect for immediate, authentic and honest storytelling, through the web and social media. And I have the skills to make your film with you… or help you to make your film.
The #MadeOnAMobile series of filmmaking workshops is designed to give you confidence in using smart phones or tablets as a tool for capturing, editing and sharing a story – read more about the workshops here: #MadeOnAMobile
